IT’S OVER!

2015 PUB LEAGUE CHAMPION IAN S

An enthusiastic group of 18 Pub Leaguers came out for our 2015 single event season at the Flowertown Pub, but only one would rise to become champion and winner of The MacKinnon Challenge Cup – Ian S !!! Congrats to Ian on his slam dunk victory score of 34 points – nobody else even managed to get in the 30’s. Well done Ian.

In other Ian news, Ian C managed to win the trivia contest, and in non-Ian news, Jeff L came in 2nd place, although frankly Dear Leader (also named Ian) did the trivia questions on Monday and would have came in 2nd depending on how much he thinks he remembers from Saturday but I don’t think he ‘remembered’ anything because the questions looked brandnew to him but there could be that subconscious retention thing I don’t know? I think he might almost have been 2nd. But if anyone deserves it, it’s Jeff L. Just saying, Dear Leader was really, really, close.

In other news, Jessica T finally won the prize named in her honour, The Teeter Best Spirit Award, for those that try everything and come in dead last. Jessica got her entry fee back, AND, managed to scoop the 50/50! Also of note, 8 years in, Dear Leader discovered the 50/50 can be quite the cash-cow if you open it up outside of Pub League & start selling tickets to the rummies in the bar!

“Would you like to buy 50/50 tickets? It’s for a good cause.”
(slurred) “Shure, how much?”
“Just two dollars for one. Or, three for five dollars.”
“Shure, I’ll take one.”
“Great. That’s two dollars, please.”
“Yeah, go three fur five.”
“Great, three – okay, thank you.”
“Yeah, ten bucks wurth.”
“T – Ten? Sure, I -”
“Juss make it twenty.”

And so on.
