2017 is off to a Great Start!

An enthusiastic group of 20 Pub Leaguers came out for the first event of 2017, our 36th (!) Pub Night – and our first Poolside Summer BBQ. Congrats to Jeff B on his second Pub Night victory, his first since February 2009! Jeff slammed his way to the top, also claiming the Trivia prize along the way. His 5 Answers Correct was just the ticket on a night offering particularly difficult questions, that saw many achieving a trivia score of just 1.
After years of trying, and a few dances in the final round, Jeff B finally puts a second Pub Night victory under his belt! Does he have what it takes to build on this lead & win The Cup? Would you mess with a beard like that?

It should also be noted a record was broken on this warm summer night. James M managed to capture The Teeter Prize – the prize awarded to the person who tries everything and comes in last – for this effort, James received his entry fee back – however, James enters our Record Book by achieving the Lowest Score in Pub League History, posting a 6.
This at last breaks the previous record held by Joe S, whose 7 stood untouched since March 25th, 2011.

Jimmy M, Jeff B & Nancy L all recognize how happy 2nd Place Winner Casey W is! A strong finish sets Casey up nicely to achieve great things this season. Can he keep the momentum going to capture The Cup, for the first time since 2011? We will see.
Elsewhere in the evening, Dear Leader finally won the 50/50 draw! About time I won something from this freakin’ thing. Anyhow – see you soon for our Bowling Event!!! Date TBD, but it’s getting closer… get ready…
